Group Motivation Inventory Essay

Greater part of us people get up from bed toward the beginning of the day, set out for school or our activity and basically do our every day schedules in a manner that is one of a kind to us. We connect to our condition and the individuals around us without completely understanding why we are doing our routine †why we go to class or do extraordinary in our activity or are interested from a specific action. In any case we as a whole realize that there is something that rouses us for doing this. Inspiration alludes to the things either inward or outside to an individual from which makes him energetic and diligent on seeking after a specific game-plan (Daft, 526). Contemplating inspiration causes us to comprehend what makes us individuals start a specific activity, and what impacts our choice of activities. After I took the inspiration rating test, I have a moderate degree of gathering inspiration. This implies I am not completely dedicated to my gathering yet in addition not totally dismissing how my gathering will perform. Subsequent to taking the test, I understood that there are factors that influence a person’s inspiration on a gathering. A portion of these elements are: 1) organization of the gathering; 2) responsibility and devotion of different individuals; 3) science inside the gathering; 4) valuation for the gathering; and 5) each member’s commitment for the group’s achievement. After taking the test, I became mindful that the factor that for the most part influences my inspiration in a gathering is a member’s duty and commitment to the gathering. This is perhaps on the grounds that I have the propensity for giving my best on whatever I am doing. Having this disposition makes me contrast what my commitments with different individuals from my gathering. In the event that I imagine that they are not as devoted as me, my inspiration becomes lower. Energy about the gathering is the following element that influences my inspiration. As I would see it, just a saint would deal with a gathering that doesn't esteem what he is doing. With regards to the creation of my gathering, the main issue is that a portion of the individuals from the gathering are so modest to try and tell their names. I have experienced this sort of individuals. They for the most part need to deal with their own. The main thing a pioneer ought to do is give him/her what she will do and there's nothing more to it. The piece of the gathering is basic to another factor, science. The association inside a gathering is additionally significant while thinking about one’s inspiration. Working with bunch whose science is acceptable for the most part prompts accomplishing the group’s objective. Commitment of different individuals to the gathering likewise influences my inspiration. On the off chance that the entirety of the individuals take part well and contribute what they should give makes me need to likewise do my part well. Then again, if a few individuals don't really help with the accomplishment of our group’s objectives, different individuals, including myself, would need to apply more exertion. Subsequently, we must be increasingly spurred. The inspiration test caused me to understand that I am modestly spurred when I am associated with a gathering. Not at all like previously, I want to likewise gauge the commitment of the other gathering individuals. With this, I am ready to contrast my degree of inspiration and different individuals from the gathering. Just a smidgen has truly changed. I despite everything do my part wholeheartedly. I attempt to go to the entirety of the booked gathering gatherings and put forth a valiant effort to enable the gathering to complete its objectives. The main thing that changed is on how I cooperate with them. For the most part before taking the test, I possibly ask something to the gathering on the off chance that I am experiencing difficulty understanding what I ought to do. I don't need a discussion other than the issues that the gathering is managing. Presently, I converse with my other co-individuals about anything under the sun to additionally improve our science. With each member’s trust and kind disposition, I turned into a great deal propelled. Subsequent to taking this test and breaking down my outcomes, there are a few things that I would change so as to additionally improve my cooperation and inspiration in other future gatherings. To start with, I will improve my collaboration to my future co-individuals. The science turns into the â€Å"spark† of a decent gathering relationship. On the off chance that bunch individuals associate to one another with deference and neighborliness, everybody will help on each. In this way, bunch objectives will be done in a smooth manner. Later on, I will likewise rouse my co-individuals. I will converse with them on the off chance that I think they are not taking an interest well in the gathering and energize them that we are a group and we need to cooperate to be fruitful. There are a few hypotheses or ways to deal with further improve inspiration inside an association. One specific hypothesis is the Expectancy Theory related to crafted by Victor Vroom with various commitments from different researchers. The Expectancy hypothesis suggests that the level of inspiration of someone in particular is related on his desires on their ability to play out a specific undertaking and the ideal honors he will get. Hope hypothesis centers around the reasoning procedure present to a person to pick up remunerations, not on perceiving what his needs are (Daft, 536). With this hypothesis, I feel that sharing my desires to my co-individuals will additionally improve every one of our inspirations, consequently improving the exhibition of the gathering. The factor that generally influences my inspirations, in view of the outcomes, is the responsibility of the other gathering individuals. In the event that different individuals don't do their part, my inspiration diminishes. I am not open to working with a gathering who isn't as dedicated as me. So as to maintain a strategic distance from this, showdown is required. Other part ought to be gone up against with respect to their demeanor and their separate duties to the gathering. It could be said, before the gathering does anything, rules ought to be clarified. Content Theories can likewise be utilized to improve inspiration inside an association. One of these Content speculations is the well known Hierarchy of Needs hypothesis by Abraham Maslow. The hypothesis recommends that there are five classes of necessities that spur an individual existing in a various leveled structure. Maslow contends that needs with low-positions ought to be the need. These necessities (from least to most noteworthy position) are as per the following: 1) Physiological requirements †the most essential physical needs of people; 2) Safety needs †the requirement for an ensured and innocuous physical and passionate setting; 3) Belongingness needs †the longing to be in a specific gathering with their trust; 4) Esteem needs †the requirement for thankfulness and acknowledgment inside a gathering or association; 5) Self-completion needs †the need of self-satisfaction (Daft, 529-530). The reasonable impetus for the gathering would be from the classifications of belongingness and regard needs. To improve inspiration inside the gathering, one ought to recognize every part for what he had accomplished for the gathering. Thankfulness ought to likewise be given to them despite the fact that their work isn't so brilliant. In any event they have put forth a strong effort. For each work that a part achieves, different individuals ought to at any rate attempt to express gratitude toward him/her. A straightforward line of â€Å"good job† will put forth an individual apply more attempts and be increasingly inspired. Reference: Daft, Richard. 2005. The board fifth Ed. Case Analysis on Satyam Essay Example for Free

Case Analysis on Satyam Essay This case shows the ruin of Satyam, one of the greatest IT mammoths in India, due to the fake exercises did by its organizer Mr. Ramalinga Raju and his partners. Business world by then had collected enormous regard for Satyam as far as hazard the board and corporate administration practices and Satyam was positioned as the fourth biggest IT Company in India. This was the situation before December 16, 2008, when Satyam advertiser Mr. Ramalinga Raju proposed his aim to secure Matyas Infra and Matyas Properties. At the point when this declaration of obtaining came to general society, financial specialists had an immensely negative response towards Satyam’s choice. Satyam originator in the long run conceded extortion in a fiscal summary uncovering that he had been cooking the books of Satyam for a long while. Raju and his group controlled money balance, bank balance, collected premium figures, exaggerated account holders and downplayed obligation so as to control the offer costs of the organization in the market by deceiving its financial specialists and people in general. After affirmation of misrepresentation, share costs of Satyam pointedly tumbled down and Satyam was in the long run expelled from the New York stock trade and the Bombay stock trade. The US speculators started a few class activity suits against Satyam for its fake exercises and top officials of Satyam were accused of infringement of government protections laws by giving bogus and misdirecting fiscal summaries. The Satyam embarrassment has shaken the underlying foundations of the Indian budgetary market and has put a central issue mark on corporate administration and how far companies (individuals) can go to upgrade their very own advantages. Significant Issues in the Case Corporate administration Satyam neglected to follow the corporate administration rehearses that each firm was intended to follow, it searched for circle trusts that could be changed to improve the company’s benefit and conceal liabilities from the financial specialists just as the overall population. The Satyam Board was made out of ‘chairman-friendly’ executives who neglected to address administrations methodology. They were additionally very delayed to act when it was realized that the organization was in money related misery. The Board overlooked basic data identified with budgetary bad behaviors before the organization at last fallen. Organization issues The Chairman (Ramalinga Raju) and the CFO (Srinivas Vadlamani) cooperated to cheat the partners for their own benefit, while the speculators felt that the organization was creating incomes, and putting resources into various territories. Unmistakably, the Chairman and CFO had individual addition as a primary concern as opposed to organization advantage. There additionally is by all accounts clashing enthusiasm of the administration and the investors I. e. the administration needed to assume control more than two development organizations Maytas properties and Maytas Infra which was against the enthusiasm of the investors. Contentions It’s difficult to envision a main organization like Satyam controlling its budget reports however in this profoundly serious industry it is important to stay beneficial so as to get by over the long haul. This is maybe the motivation behind why Satyam depended on controlling its fiscal report. We can see that there were huge measure of control in the pay proclamation just as to be determined sheet of Satyam’s fiscal reports. Control in the Income Statement The salary proclamation comprised of certain irregularities that were made purposefully to keep up the degree of benefit of the organization. The measure of deals income has been exaggerated by Rs. 588 crore I. e. was recorded as Rs. 2700 crore rather than Rs. 2112 crore. The working overall revenue was recorded as Rs. 649 crore (I. e. 24 % of the deal income) when the real working overall revenue was Rs. 61 crore (I. e. 3 % of the business income). The quantity of representative was likewise controlled I. e. it was recorded as 52000 workers when the real number of representatives was just 43622 representatives. Control to be determined Sheet The accounting report additionally appeared to have some degree of irregularities from the genuine worth that were done deliberately to show a solid liquidity position of the organization. The money balance that was recorded as Rs. 5361 crore comprised of non-presence measure of Rs. 5040 crore I. e. the real money balance was Rs. 321 crore. The advantages side additionally comprised of accumulated enthusiasm of Rs. 376 crore which was non-existent and the account holders sum was exaggerated by Rs. 490 crore I. e. the genuine estimation of borrower was Rs. 2161 crore while the recorded worth was Rs. 2651 crore. The risk side of he accounting report was downplayed by Rs. 1230 crore which was the sum acquired from the known sources by Mr. Raju to guarantee the activities are running. Much after such controls the administrative specialists, the autonomous official and the outside inspectors couldn't raise the warning which shows that there is an enormous gap in the corporate administration. The organization additionally is by all accounts having clashing enthusiasm between the administration and the investors. The organization was hoping to broaden its business by assuming control over the development organizations Maytas Properties and Maytas Infra at an expense of 1. billion dollars. Satyam was hoping to enter the land business yet this was an astounding vital choice for the investors. The investors needed Satyam to extend in related organizations. The negative response of the investors toward the choice caused the offer costs to fall by 70% in an only a couple of days of the choice. Administrative Implication Agency issue The issue of propelling one gathering to follow up in the interest of another can be known as the head specialist issue or office issue for short. (Wikipedia, 2013) Agency issues emerge in a wide range of settings. The organization issue as a rule alludes to an irreconcilable circumstance between a companys the executives and the companys investors. The administrator, going about as the specialist for the investors, or principals, should settle on choices that will augment investor riches. Be that as it may, the choice must be in the kindness all things considered yet it was not the situation with Satyam. Satyam chose to procure Maytas Properties and Maytas Infra. The investors opposed the choice asserting it to be random business and obtaining ought not happen with Maytas which turned into a completing hit to the organization. Corporate administration and business morals Corporate administration alludes to the framework by which partnerships are coordinated and controlled. The administration structure determines the circulation of rights and obligations among various members in the enterprise, (for example, the governing body, chiefs, investors, lenders, reviewers, controllers, and different partners) and indicates the guidelines and techniques for settling on choices in corporate undertakings. (Wikipedia, 2013) Governance is a system for observing the activities, strategies and choices of organizations. On a quarterly premise, Satyam’s income developed. Mr. Raju conceded that the extortion which he submitted added up to almost $276 million. All the while, Satyam damaged all the principles of corporate administration. The Satyam trick has been a model for following poor administration rehearses. The issue of administration rose at Satyam in view of non satisfaction of the commitment of the organization towards its partners like isolating jobs of board and the executives, and furthermore the job of CEO and director. Business morals mirrors the way of thinking of business, one of whose points is to decide the central reasons for an organization. Business morals are actualized so as to guarantee that a specific required degree of trust exists among buyers and different types of market members with organizations (Investopedia, 2013). The way of life in Satyam, particularly ruled by the board, represented such an untrustworthy culture. Satyam as the littlest of the four players was feeling the squeeze to show great outcomes so as to endure. Aside from this there was ravenousness making them enjoy deceptive conduct. From one perspective, Raju’s ascend to fame in the corporate world got together with massive strain to intrigue financial specialists made him a constrained pioneer to convey remarkable outcomes. In actuality, Mr. Raju needed to stifle his own ethics and qualities for more noteworthy's benefit of the organization. The bait of huge remuneration to individuals further energized such conduct. At long last the extortion reached a conclusion and the suggestions were extraordinary. Choices The disappointment of organization like Satyam which had been granted for its corporate administration and hazard the board makes a situation for the speculators with respect to which organization to accept and contribute. Henceforth, financial specialists, board, government intercession, bookkeeping guidelines and morals and Code of lead should all work connected at the hip to determine the issue. Speculators assume a significant job in identifying deceitful exercises of an organization. They should guarantee that data about the organization is most recent and from trustable source. Consequently, they should take more mind and contrast the pattern of the organization and the business before contributing. Board must screen the moral arrangements and the manner in which they are being kept up in the organization. Straightforwardness and adequacy in reviewing and administrative checks through inside and outside inspectors and observing organizations ought to be kept up as it assists with building and keep up trust and reliability from partners, increment altruism and investor’s certainty and set up enduring validity for the organization. Government should assume a functioning job in company’s issue, every now and again checks of the company’s execution and find a way to debilitate negligence and misrepresentation. There is a need to make solid measures to keep fake exercises from occurring in future and the reviewing firms likewise should be brought under the administrative umbrella. In addition, all organizations need

What Concerta Is Used For Concerta is a central nervous system stimulant that is used to treat children and teens with ADHD. If the side effects continue after a dosage is lowered or if your child is having unacceptable side effects, then he or she should likely be switched to a ?different ADHD medication. Ask your childs pediatrician if there are other options to try. Your pediatrician should also monitor your childs growth and blood pressure while he or she is taking Concerta to watch for any potential problems. How Do You Define a Pi Bond in Chemistry

A pi bond (Ï€ bond)  is a covalent bond  formed between two neighboring atoms unbonded p-orbitals. An unbound p-orbital electron in one atom forms an electron pair with a neighboring atoms unbound, parallel p-orbital electron. This electron pair forms the pi bond. Double and triple bonds between atoms are usually made up of a single sigma bond and one or two pi bonds. Pi bonds are generally denoted by the Greek letter Ï€, in reference to the p orbital. The symmetry of a pi bond is the same as that of the p orbital as viewed down the bond axis. Note d orbitals also form pi bonds. This behavior is the basis of metal-metal multiple bonding.

I Ask For Peace Of Spirit And Prosperity By Sandra Cisneros

Min-Zhan Lu and Bruce Horner are English professors at the University of Louisville, who are co-authors of Writing Conventions. In this textbook, Lu and Horner define genre characteristics as,†setting, aims, relations to other genres, medium, and effect on self and life†(Lu Horner 69). They also discuss â€Å"tinkering† with genre itself. Genre is the base model which is expected to take a particular form. For example in the collection of writings, Little Miracles, Kept Promises, author Sandra Cisneros has eloquently expressed how the diversity of ideas themes within the several writings can all be thought of as the single genre of prayers. One of the prayers that adheres to the expected genre is, â€Å"... I ask for peace of spirit and prosperity†(Cisneros 271). When the idea of prayer is discussed, a person thinks of a positive respectful conversation between a person and a higher power that can also ask for the health and wellbeing of people in their d aily lives, while refraining from overzealous material demands. Therefore asking for peace of spirit and prosperity would adhere to the guidelines of prayer as a single genre. Changing the expected genre can be beneficial, but also can change the aims or effect of the genre making the purpose unsuccessful. The majority of the writings by Cisneros follow the common â€Å"standard† for the genre of prayer. On the other hand many of the writings â€Å"tinker† with the genre of prayer. Lu and Horner describe â€Å"tinkering† with a genre as

The United States Constitution is a living Document Free Essays

The Constitution of The United States is a living document. I believe it is because we can amend it. We have amended it 27 times. We will write a custom essay sample on The United States Constitution is a living Document or any similar topic only for you Order Now The first 10 amendments are known as our Bill of Rights, which are our basic rights as American citizens. This document started with no amendments, but our government has added them when the document needs to grow with society. The United States Constitution has been the Law of the Land since 1788 when it was adopted. In the Preamble of the constitution it states why it was written. These reasons include, to form a more perfect nion, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility. Since it has been in effect for over 200 years and has stood the test of time other countries have used our Constitution to base their countries constitutions on. I believe the truly genius thing about the constitution is the way it was written. Several phrases are written very loosely, and this has allowed us to make changes or amend it. That is why it is called a â€Å"living document†, because like a living changing person, this document can also live and change. Over 200 years ago when this document was written, the framers could never have predicted what changes their future society would have. So by leaving phrases unclear it left this document open to interpretation. We are now able to reinterpret it and amend it if need be through the Supreme Court and House of Representatives. In the summer of 1787 when The Constitutional Convention was being conducted, these men would never know how in the future we would need to ensure that homosexuals would in the future be left out of constitutional rights. Morally they would never be able to justify this concept. But today it is a very controversial issue. Homosexuals are not allowed in most states to marry. They will argue that it is unconstitutional, and that the 14th Amendment states that any person who is a U. S. citizen should not be deprived life, liberty, or property, and all citizens should have equal rights and equal protection of the law. The blacks went through this, they had to fight to be treated as equals and just like them the homosexuals of America are now taking their turn in reinterpreting this mendment . To deny them of their constitutional right is not what our Founding Fathers would have wanted. Another issue that is very controversial right now is gun control in The U. S. Some interpret the 2nd amendment states that all Americans have the right to own guns, and this should not be infringed. Others interpret this as meaning that the only people that should be able to own guns are the military to protect our country . This is a huge topic in America right now because of many violent acts that have happened with guns. Due to these violent acts, we as Americans should consider there are some flaws in controlling who can own a gun. Our President Barack Obama and his administration wish to fix loopholes in the required background checks for buying and owning a firearm. In doing so they hope that guns will not fall into the hands of anyone who has a criminal history, or has a mental illness. They also wish to ban military style assault weapons for civilians. Basically the debate on either side of these issues proves that The United States Constitution is in fact a living document. To state that it is a dead document is to imply that we should abandon this document. That idea in itself is treasonous. To abandon this document would cause a huge uproar in our country, and delete so many vital parts of American history. Since we can obviously add to this document and make changes to it we need to continue doing exactly what we are doing. Before we had this document our country was in complete disunion between states, and our government was very weak. Our country did not run well without this document, and it wouldn’t if we decided to consider it a dead ocument. Americans have lived with this document being the law of our land, and have grown used to the way things are. If we can make what has worked in the past continue to work then why change that. In any event we as society look to the Constitution to tell us what our founding fathers wanted this country to be. This document is what America was built on and will continue to grow on. And that is why after over 200 years The United Sates Constitution is still a living document that we should never wish to abandon. Online Environment free essay sample

Normally, customers would have to call an associate from D D and find out when the next trade show, showcase, or large event D D will be featured in attendance so customers can make their way to the venue just to see the merchandise. One main focus that would have to be kept is the same local, hometown business feel. Although D D would be looking to expand out of the greater Indianapolis area, the focus that needs to be kept is the community. An online market would be extremely beneficial to the community and the business because the times are changing and more and more customers each day are transitioning to the online marketplace by shopping in the comfort of their own home. D D is a community based business who believes in taking care of all our customer’s needs whether it is live an in person, or 2:00 AM on a Sunday night. We will write a custom essay sample on Online Environment or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page We can only offer this kind of service with an online presence. D D wants to be the company a customer can count on anytime. Being part of an online environment will be a large part in making that a reality. As a business, we must ask ourselves is this a venture that will be successful for us? Given the type of market that our company is tapping into, we have the ability to be very successful. The quality of products that we offer along with our competitive prices will give us the competitive advantage over other similar small companies as even over some larger companies as well. Establishing D D in an online environment against competition in the same type of business will force us to be aware of all that is going on with our competition. This way, we will able to compete with the larger companies like a JCPenny or Sears and the smaller businesses like D D that have been in the online environment for a long time. We will strive to keep the quality of our products high and be able to keep our prices low. The success of our business will lie on our quality, and providing the best quality products will help us in generating income and building a larger customer base. Current Online Competitor Assessment Being that D D is a very small local business; large competitors (Nordstrom. com, Macys. com, Sears. com, etc. ) offer more of a broad selection of merchandise while D D specializes in one specific area of sales at extremely competitive prices and unique craftsmanship quality. Most of these larger companies will hold sales that provide their merchandise at discounted prices in-store and online but customers will not always catch the â€Å"Great Deal† or clearance sale. D D wants to provide quality products that customers feel are always on sale. One competitive advantage that D D will have over these companies is the originality of products. A large portion of the merchandise sold is hand-made, developed from original designs and ideas. Larger companies will most likely buy their products in bulk from over-seas distributors that will mimic merchandise of their competitors while D D will offer quality products made right here in the United States. D D will be able to back all the hand-made merchandise with a ‘Made in The USA’ tag which is something that most of the larger competitors will not be able to do. There are some name brand designers that are sold through D D; however, prices for that particular merchandise will still be competitive. We understand that there are customers with a demand for name brand designers no matter what the item may be and we want to be the provider for that segment of customers as well. Larger companies in the retail industry will often sell merchandise seasonally in regards to the specific time of year or holiday. A huge advantage that D D will have will be the ability to purchase seasonal merchandise year round. For example, if a customer wanted to purchase a Christmas themed hat in July or another customer wanted to purchase a Valentine’s Day gift basket in October, these options would be available to them. A larger company will most likely not offer that option on their site and especially not in their store. D D’s goal is to be able to take care of each and every customer’s needs (and wants) to create customers for life. We know that we are not the only company in this market and we need to be aware of the disadvantages we face while competing against larger companies. One large disadvantage that we will face is the distribution of our products. D D does not have a warehouse where stock is kept in comparison to a Sears or Macy’s. Therefore, in order for us to be successful, we must be able to maintain our stock and make sure that we keep enough on hand at all times. Another disadvantage that we face is the production of our hand-made items. Although our items do not take extremely long to make, we can run into the problem of not having a specific item when it is needed. This could be a major issue in the success of that particular product, but one advantage that we do have is that everyone on the sales team is able to help us create products if we happen to be short on certain items. This gives us a slight advantage over competitors large and small because there is no need for a middle man in our product line. All handmade products are able to be created and ready for sale immediately. We will still be in a similar situation with our competitors when it comes to all of the name brand clothing as far as shipping, ordering, receiving, etc. but being able to have our custom products manufactured and ready to sell within a fraction of time it would take for shipping procedures will keep us ahead and generating income. Online Marketing Suggestions Strategies The strategy for D D will be one with attainable goals. The first objective of our strategy is to know where we are going and what we want to achieve. Our first goal will be to set the amount of cu stomers that we want to reach through our online presence. As long as we have an idea of how many customers we wish to gain through this method, we will stay focused and stay on the correct path to achieve our goal. The next step in our strategy is to dissect the final goal numbers and turn the results into action plans that we can use to repeat success. For instance, if D D sets the target number in a time period for customers gained through our online presence, because the goal was dissected prior and broken down; D D knows exactly what must be done to achieve that goal. The last step that D D will implement in the strategy is to make sure all success is reviewed and evaluated thoroughly. All information that we received must be evaluated so we are making sure we are getting the results that we expected and wanted. One of the major tasks that we plan to accomplish with D D’s online marketing efforts is to attain customers of a younger age group. Typically the D D customer base age ranges from 30 – 60 for women and 29 – 50 for men. With the addition of new products and the expansion to an online environment, the goal could be easily reached. Another marketing strategy that D D will use is advertising the current events and trade shows we will be featured in. By advertising and marketing D D online as well as the different venues, customers will be informed of different things to do around the city in addition to taking some time to shop. Marketing ourselves this way will not only help our business, but it will also help our community which is helping us keep our main two focuses; Service our community and sell quality products to our customers. Search Engine Considerations Optimization Strategies Taking into consideration that there has been a lot of cross-border selling, there is a growth that is happening with search marketers. This growth causes websites to be optimized for visitors from different regions and cultural backgrounds. There are constant attempts to develop techniques that attract visitors through search engines and search ads. One technique that D D will be able to do is use country specific domain names, and possibly change spelling variations (i. e. color v. colour). D D will also use keywords in other languages, which will target search engines such as Google AdWords and give us more search result hits. Expanding our name in search engines will be an excellent way to open the door to us being found by more people who are searching for similar items. Encouraging our customers to post regular reviews of our business on a variety of local search sites will not only let potential customers know we do a good job, but it will increase the number of search hits we receive. The more reviews we receive, the reviews will appear high within search results. The approach also will make it more likely for the next potential customer searching for a store like D D to possibly contact our business based on the information they are receiving in the search results. A strategy such as this will improve the amount of search hits simply by choosing the words we want to be associated with our business and as long as we are doing a great job for our customers, a large portion of those words will be positive. Social Media Integration D D is a small business that could benefit very well from using social media. The majority of D D’s name being spread around the community is by word of mouth; however being well known in a small community can only take you so far. Integrating a social media site like Facebook would be a wonderful opportunity to promote the business and inform potential customers about the site as well as allowing current customers to refer a friend to the page and even comment. Integrating Facebook with the site will allow customers in a matter of seconds to â€Å"like† the D D Facebook page and there will also be a link to click to directly go to the D D web site. The potential comments left on the page could end up helping D D by possibly providing suggestions that D D could use to improve the overall customer experience. Along with Facebook, Twitter can also be utilized in the social media are by â€Å"tweeting† pictures of merchandise as well as updating customers with current information regarding products and shows. For customers who are always on the go, D D will also reach customers by the use of Instagram. By using Instagram, customers who are following D D will be able to see recently received merchandise that will be uploaded onto the mobile page by the D D staff. With use of these sites, D D will able to keep the current customer base updated with information about the products as well as allowing potential customers to gain a little bit of knowledge about D D’s products and services by utilizing the online environment that is used in day-to-day life. Using these sites will also provide another medium of communication from customers so we can listen to their suggestions, wants, and needs. By listening to customers, we are able to receive first-hand feedback and a better understanding of how we can improve our service. In addition to using social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, D D will also incorporate a small blogging section on the company website. This will give customers additional medium to converse and blog about their experiences with our company. Online Customer Relationship Management When a customer makes the decision to do business with any company, the customer expects that they will receive a very high standard of customer service. As a company, D D will also hold a very high standard in providing customer service. A key component of customer service in any business is building a relationship with the customer. Communication between the customer and seller will have to be maintained in order to build that relationship. The best way to keep this channel of communication open with the customers would be through the exchange of email for any situation, problem, or question that may arise. Email would allow our customers to ask questions regarding our products, address a problem, or even inquire about making an order. Specific email templates, for whether there is a problem or a general question, will be made for any possible topic a customer may have and this will be integrated in the site. If there is any issue, a customer will be able to be as specific as they need to in asking their question. To be as efficient as we can with offering the email option to our customers, we will offer with all emails a ‘Within 24 hr. Guarantee Response Time. ’ Putting a guarantee on a service such as this will ensure to the customer that they will receive the most efficient and effective service available. We understand that all questions and issues may not be answered through email, so all escalated issues will be followed up with a phone call from a sales associate to help solve any issue that cannot be resolved in a timely manner. Within the website there will also be a FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) page provided to possibly help with several general questions. Our FAQs page will be updated accordingly if we seem to receive a large volume of questions for a topic that is not currently on our FAQs page. Updating this page will be very valuable to our customers’ time and it will show that we are very thorough in our process. E-Commerce Solutions E-Commerce for D D will be an extremely user-friendly process. Our plan is to utilize all E-commerce transactions through the Volusion software program. This program is very efficient and very effective on both sides of the E-commerce transaction from seller to customer. Volusion will provide multiple payment options to potential customers such as credit or debit card, using a checking account, E-check, and even PayPal. By giving our customers multiple ways to pay, we give ourselves more opportunity to make a sale. A â€Å"checkout† and â€Å"my cart† feature will also be integrated within the site so at any time customers can quickly add an item to their cart and check out or add a few items and then edit the cart if they are not satisfied with their selection or have selected too many of one item. A link to the â€Å"my cart† section will be available on every page so a customer will be able to easily navigate there. Volusion also offers customizable tax and shipping options which will be presented for each product depending on size and time frame for customers’ desired delivery time. Customers will also be given automatic email confirmations after all purchases to give reviews of purchases. The automatic email confirmations will also be followed up by a separate email that contains an additional e-receipt and shipping information. Customers also have the option to enroll in the D D newsletter that will be created to update customers with information regarding current and future events as well as updates for newly created merchandise. This option will be available upon checkout so customers will be able to click yes or no. Security will be a major concern with E-commerce in any company you are associating with. The Volusion software offers state-of-the art E-commerce security which is PCI/CISP (Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council /Cardholder Information Security Program) certified. Other security features include the â€Å"CAPTCHA† type image validation for all forms of submissions to prevent unauthorized use, as well as an integrated IP blocking security feature, and SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Encryption for encrypting customer information for additional security. International Considerations International business for D D would be an excellent addition to the business. What better way would there be to grow the business than to expand globally? The retail market for fashion and apparel is a market that is not just popular in just one geographic location. Fashion retail is an area where with the right merchandise and approach, a company like D D could go from servicing local customers to multi-national in a matter of months. Social media will play a large role in the international expansion of D D just as it will locally. All considerations must be viewed before the international ventures can take flight. One major concern would be how the currency from other countries would be handled. Our payment system will be an incredible asset to how our transactions are completed. Exchange rates are automatically calculated and shipping calculations are also included. Transactions will not be simple for every country. Certain payment options that D D accepts will not be available in all countries (i. e. Romania does not have PayPal), so all employees must be aware of situations like this if they were to arise. We will also have to make sure that we are complying with all government export regulations within each country. Using the Volusion software will also help with the language barrier of different countries. The Volusion software will make sure the website is friendly and ready for non-domestic and non-English-speaking visitors. All content on our website will be internationalized to cater to different areas of the globe. We believe that if we can customize our offering, service, and payment types to different areas, the business will enjoy huge success. Web Development Maintenance Cost The actual development for D D’s website would be fairly inexpensive compared to the amount of return the website would help generate. Base costs to start the development of the website would begin with the purchase of the domain name (i. e. www. DandDdesigns. com) that would range from $10 $30. Annual fees to keep the website up and running would range from $100 $150 in renewal fees. Most sites with under 2000 pages generally do not go over that threshold amount. There are a number of extra features that can be added to the site that could possibly increase the costs for running the webpage such as enabling Java for allowing motion images and small videos on the site (about $4. 5/month) and Restore Services that offer information recovery of any information deleted accidentally by any of the company’s associates (about $1. 50/month). Web hosting sites such as Lunarpages Hostgator offer all of these great services with no additional maintenance costs. These sites also offer 24/7 server monitoring and customer support so if anything were to go wrong, there is always someone to call on at anytime. This will also remove the expense of hiring a web developer because any and all problems with the site can be fixed by employees at anytime.

Treaty of Paris 1783 and the American Revolution

Treaty of Paris 1783 and the American Revolution Following the British defeat at the Battle of Yorktown in October 1781, leaders in Parliament decided that offensive campaigns in North America should cease in favor of a different, more limited approach. This was spurred by the widening of the war to include France, Spain, and the Dutch Republic. Through the fall and following winter, British colonies in the Caribbean fell to enemy forces as did Minorca. With anti-war forces growing in power, Lord Norths government fell in late March 1782 and was replaced by one led by Lord Rockingham. Learning that Norths government had fallen, Benjamin Franklin, the American ambassador in Paris, wrote to Rockingham expressing a desire to begin peace negotiations. Understanding that making peace was a necessity, Rockingham elected to embrace the opportunity. While this pleased Franklin, and his fellow negotiators John Adams, Henry Laurens, and John Jay, they made it clear that the terms of the United States alliance with France prevented them from making peace without French approval. In moving forward, the British decided that they would not accept American independence as a precondition for beginning talks. Political Intrigue This reluctance was due to their knowledge that France was experiencing financial difficulties and a hope that military fortunes could be reversed. To begin the process, Richard Oswald was sent to meet with the Americans while Thomas Grenville was dispatched to begin talks with the French. With negotiations proceeding slowly, Rockingham died in July 1782 and Lord Shelburne became the head of the British government. Though British military operations began to have success, the French stalled for time as they were working with Spain to capture Gibraltar. In addition, the French sent a secret envoy to London as there were several issues, including fishing rights on the Grand Banks, on which they disagreed with their American allies. The French and Spanish were also concerned about American insistence on the Mississippi River as a western border. In September, Jay learned of the secret French mission and wrote to Shelburne detailing why he should not be influenced by the French and Spanish. In this same period, Franco-Spanish operations against Gibraltar were failing to leave the French to begin debating ways for exiting the conflict. Advancing to Peace Leaving their allies to bicker amongst themselves, the Americans became aware of a letter sent during the summer to George Washington in which Shelburne conceded the point of independence. Armed with this knowledge, they re-entered talks with Oswald. With the issue of independence settled, they began hammering out the details which included border issues and discussion of reparations. On the former point, the Americans were able to get the British to agree to the borders established after the French Indian War rather than those set by the Quebec Act of 1774. By the end of November, the two sides produced a preliminary treaty based on the following points: Great Britain recognized the Thirteen Colonies to be free, sovereign and independent states. The borders of the United States would be those of 1763 extending west to the Mississippi. The United States would receive fishing rights on the Grand Banks and Gulf of St. Lawrence. All contracted debts were to be paid to creditors on each side. The Congress of the Confederation would recommend that each state legislature provide restitution for property taken from Loyalists. The United States would prevent property from being taken from Loyalists in the future. All prisoners of war were to be released. Both the United States and Great Britain were to have perpetual access to the Mississippi.Territory captured by the United States subsequent to the treaty was to be returned.Ratification of the treaty was to occur within six months of signing. With the British relief of Gibraltar in October, the French ceased to have any interest in aiding the Spanish. As a result, they were willing to accept a sepa rate Anglo-American peace. Reviewing the treaty, they grudgingly accepted it on November 30. Signing Ratification With the French approval, the Americans and Oswald signed a preliminary treaty on November 30. The terms of the treaty provoked a political firestorm in Britain where the concession of territory, abandonment of the Loyalists, and granting of fishing rights proved particularly unpopular. This backlash forced Shelburne to resign and a new government was formed under the Duke of Portland. Replacing Oswald with David Hartley, Portland hoped to modify the treaty. This was blocked by the Americans who insisted on no changes. As a result, Hartley and the American delegation signed the Treaty of Paris on September 3, 1783. Brought before the Congress of the Confederation at Annapolis, MD, the treaty was ratified on January 14, 1784. Parliament ratified the treaty on April 9 and ratified copies of the document were exchanged the following month in Paris. Also on September 3, Britain signed separate treaties ending their conflicts with France, Spain, and the Dutch Republic. These largely saw the European nations exchange colonial possessions with Britain regaining the Bahamas, Grenada, and Montserrat while ceding the Floridas to Spain. Frances gains included Senegal as well as having fishing rights guaranteed on the Grand Banks. Geography of the United States of America

Geography of the United States of America The United States of America is the third largest country in the world based on population and land area. The United States also has the worlds largest economy and is one of the most influential nations in the world. Fast Facts: U.S. Geography Population:  325,467,306 (2017  estimate)Capital:  Washington D.C.Area:  3,794,100 square miles (9,826,675 sq km)Bordering Countries:  Canada  and  MexicoCoastline:  12,380 miles (19,924 km)Highest Point:  Denali  (also called Mount McKinley) at 20,335 feet (6,198 m)Lowest Point:  Death Valley  at -282 feet (-86 m) Independence and Modern History of the United States The original 13 colonies of the United States were formed in 1732. Each of these had local governments and their populations grew quickly throughout the mid-1700s. However, during this time tensions between the American colonies and the British government began to arise as the American colonists were subject to British taxation but had no representation in the British Parliament. These tensions eventually led to the American Revolution which was fought from 1775-1781. On July 4, 1776, the colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence and following the American victory over the British in the war, the U.S. was recognized as independent of England. In 1788, the U.S. Constitution was adopted and in 1789, the first president, George Washington, took office. Following its independence, the U.S. grew rapidly and the Louisiana Purchase in 1803 nearly doubled the nations size. The early to mid-1800s also saw growth on the west coast as the California Gold Rush of 1848-1849 spurred western migration and the Oregon Treaty of 1846 gave the U.S. control of the Pacific Northwest. Despite its growth, the U.S. also had severe racial tensions in the mid-1800s as African slaves were used as laborers in some states. Tensions between the slave states and non-slave states led to the Civil War and eleven states declared their secession from the union and formed the Confederate States of America in 1860. The Civil War lasted from 1861-1865 when the Confederate States were defeated. Following the Civil War, racial tensions remained through the 20th century. Throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the U.S. continued to grow and remained neutral at the beginning of World War I in 1914. It later joined the Allies in 1917. The 1920s were a time of economic growth in the U.S. and the country began to grow into a world power. In 1929, however, the Great Depression began and the economy suffered until World War II. The U.S. also remained neutral during this war until Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, at which time the U.S. joined the Allies. Following WWII, the U.S. economy again began to improve. The Cold War followed shortly thereafter as did the Korean War from 1950-1953 and the Vietnam War from 1964-1975. Following these wars, the U.S. economy, for the most part, grew industrially and the nation became a world superpower concerned with its domestic affairs because public support waivered during previous wars. On September 11, 2001, the U.S. was subject to terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington D.C., which led to the government pursuing a policy of reworking world governments, particularly those in the Middle East. Government of the United States The U.S. government is a representative democracy with two legislative bodies. These bodies are the Senate and House of Representatives. The Senate consists of 100 seats with two representatives from each of the 50 states. The House of Representatives consists of 435 seats and are elected by the people from the 50 states. The executive branch consists of the President who is also the head of government and chief of state. The U.S. also has a judicial branch of government that is made up of the Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, U.S. District Courts and State and County Courts. The U.S. is comprised of 50 states and one district (Washington D.C.). Economics and Land Use in the United States The U.S. has the largest and most technologically advanced economy in the world. It mainly consists of the industrial and service sectors. The main industries include petroleum, steel, motor vehicles, aerospace, telecommunications, chemicals, electronics, food processing, consumer goods, lumber, and mining. Agricultural production, though only a small part of the economy, includes wheat, corn, other grains, fruits, vegetables, cotton, beef, pork, poultry, dairy products, fish and forest products. Geography and Climate of the United States The U.S. borders both the North Atlantic and North Pacific Oceans and is bordered by Canada and Mexico. It is the third largest country in the world by area and has a varied topography. The eastern regions consist of hills and low mountains while the central interior is a vast plain (called the Great Plains region) and the west has high rugged mountain ranges (some of which are volcanic in the Pacific Northwest). Alaska also features rugged mountains as well as river valleys. Hawaiis landscape varies but is dominated by volcanic topography. Like its topography, the climate of the U.S. also varies depending on location. It is considered mostly temperate but is tropical in Hawaii and Florida, arctic in Alaska, semiarid in the plains west of the Mississippi River and arid in the Great Basin of the southwest. Worst job you ever had Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Worst job you ever had - Essay Example The place was deceptive in its exterior and reeked of dishonest intentions, both that of owners and workers. The place was tastefully furnished but was conspicuous in its lack of modern technology. The most interesting and perhaps the ridiculous was the owner’s perception towards the uniform of its workers. He believed that they should wear clothes of 1960s so as to provide the restaurant with a unique identity. I was employed as a waiter and my primary work was to serve the customer. The good pay was the major attraction and I was congratulating myself in landing the job. But I soon realized that the work was not merely of a waiter but I was expected also expected to fill in for any employee who was absent, be it the cleaner or washer-man. Since I had already resigned from my previous job, I was in no position to refuse it at that stage as I needed the money for my rent and food. It was most humiliating for me when I had to juggle between serving the customers and washing dir ty dishes at the back.

Delinquent Youth Subculture - Gang Research Paper

Delinquent Youth Subculture - Gang - Research Paper Example What is the response to youth gangs? The aim of this paper is to research the phenomenon of youth gangs in the American society. This requires providing answers to the questions above, supported by data from both primary and secondary sources. Structurally, I have organized the text into six main sections. The first part or Introduction outlines the aim and focus of the paper. The second section centers on the gangs’ origins and history, as well as explains what a gang is. The third part identifies the types of activities and behavior characteristic of a gang. The fourth section provides some theoretical background to the concept, while the fifth focuses on the societal response to the youth gangs phenomenon. Finally, I conclude the paper with the sixth section that sums up the paper’s findings. Origins and History of Gangs Scholarly sources abound with youth gang definitions, one of the earliest being that of Thrasher (1927). Thrasher explained that a gang should be un derstood as a spontaneously forming group that is not attached to any specific part of society (Thrasher, 1927). A more recent definition of gangs views the latter as groups that consist of individuals who recurrently associate and are subject to identifiable organization in leadership and internal matters. These groups also identify themselves with or claim to have control over a particular territory within a given community, and are known to engage in illegal (often violent) behavior individually or collectively (Miller, 1975). Youth gangs are also believed to be â€Å"any denotable groups of youngsters who a) are generally perceived as a distinct aggregation by others in their neighborhood; b) recognize themselves as a denotable group (almost invariably with a group name); and c) have been involved in a sufficient number of delinquent incidents to call forth a consistent negative response from neighborhood agencies and/or enforcement agencies† (Klein, 1971, p. 13). The ori gins of modern gangs go back to the 17th century England. The British crime chronicler Pike speaks of the existence of robber gangs on English highways at that time (Pike, 1873, pp. 276-277). Yet, these gangs were reportedly different from the ones that we have today. The gangs with more or less rigid structures appeared in the early 17th century. For example, Pearson tells about London being â€Å"terrorized by a series of organized gangs calling themselves the Mims, Hectors, Bugles, Dead Boys†¦ who found amusement in breaking windows, [and] demolishing taverns, [and] they also fought pitched battles among themselves dressed with colored ribbons to distinguish the different fractions† (Pearson, 1983, p. 188). In the United States, the beginning of the street gangs history is related to their formation on the East Coast after the American Revolution in 1783. At the same time, many reputable scholarly sources prefer the later date – the beginning of the 19th centur y (Sante, 1991). The first gang that operated in the streets of New York was the 40 Thieves.

herbert hoover and his role in the great depression Essay -- essays re

Herbert Hoover and His Role in The Great Depression   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚     Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  With the continually worsening conditions, and the stock market crash on Black Tuesday, October 29, 1929, the United States was thrown into the biggest economical disaster of our history. Everyone, excluding the rich upper class, became poor and most unemployed. The majority of the American populace found themselves living in ‘shantytowns’ or ‘Hoovervilles’ as they later became to be known, which consisted of many cramped shacks constructed from whatever was available. This meant old burnt-out cars, cardboard boxes, random pieces of lumber, and anything else that people could find. Times truly were tough. It was a daily struggle for people to support their own lives, let alone those of their family on the meager amount of money they had. The lucky man in charge of bringing us out from the depths of this very great of depressions was none other than the thirty-first president of these United States.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Herbert Clark Hoover was born in an Iowa village in 1874 to a Quaker blacksmith. He grew up in Oregon and eventually graduated from Stanford University as a mining engineer. After marrying Lou Henry, his girlfriend from Stanford, they went to China where he worked as the leading engineer for the country. Upon entering World War I, President Wilson placed Hoover at the head of the Food Administration where he successfully kept the Allies well fed. Following the war, Hoover organized food shipments for millions of starving people in Europe and Soviet Russia as a member of the Supreme Economic Council and head of the American Relief Administration. Finally, in 1928 Hoover became the Republican Presidential nominee, and later the President of the United States of America. A year later, those United States sank into deep depression.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Following the crash of the stock market in 1929, Americans looked to their federal government for help through these hard times. The public required Direct Relief, or cash payments or food provided for the poor by the government. Hoover and his rugged individualist mentality, however, believed that the government should not interfere with the economic happenings of its citizens. He said that aid to the hungry and the deserving unemployed should come from local govern... ...nto the shoulders of Hoover, between 10 and 20 thousand World War I veterans marched to Washington D.C. in the spring of 1932. This Bonus Army, as it was to be called, made the trip under Walter Waters to support a bill under debate that might grant them a cash bonus. The original bonus, previously passed in 1924, was supposed to give them life insurance in 1945. This new bill in Congress was to give each soldier $500 immediately. Surprisingly, Hoover wasn’t upset with the Bonus Army’s gathering, and even encouraged them by providing food and supplies. On June 17, 1932, the Patman Bill was put down and Hoover ordered the Bonus Army to depart. When 2,000 of the men refused to move, the president sent 1,000 soldiers to send them home. With tear gas and bayonets, their task was accomplished. A few men were killed in this ordeal.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Herbert Hoover was the boy from Iowa fated to lead this nation through one of its greatest disasters. Unfortunately, he receives much undeserved blame for the crash of the stock market and subsequent depression the U.S. faced. Considering the circumstances, Hoover did a commendable job pulling us through this very hard of times.

A Case Study of Wegmans Food Markets Essay

Wegmans Food Markets, Inc., is one of the premier grocery chains in the United States. Headquartered in Rochester, NY, Wegmans operates over 70 stores. The company employs over 23,000 people, and has annual sales of over Rs. 2.0 billion. Wegmans has a strong reputation for offering its customers high product quality and excellent service. Through a combination of market research, trial and error, and listening to its customers, Wegmans has evolved into a very successful organization. In fact, Wegmans is so good at what it does that grocery chains all over the country send representatives to Wegmans for a firsthand look at operations. Many of the company’s stores are giant 100,000 square foot superstores, double or triple the size of average supermarkets. A superstore typically employs from 500 to 600 people. Individual stores differ somewhat in terms of actual size and some special features. Aside from the features normally found in supermarkets, they generally have a large bakery Section (each store bakes its own bread, rolls, cakes, pies, and pastries), and extra-large produce sections. They also offer film processing a complete pharmacy, a card shop and video rentals. In-store floral shops range in size up to 800 square feet of space, and offer a wide variety of fresh-cut flowers, flower arrangements, varies and plants. In-store card shops covers over 1000 square feet of floor of floor space. The bulk foods department provides customers with the opportunity to select what quantities they desire from a vast array of foodstuffs and some nonfood items. Each store is a little different. Among the special features in some stores are a dry cleaning department, a wokery, and a salad bar. Some feature a Market Cafe that has different food stations, each devoted to preparing and serving a certain type of food. For example, one station has pizza and other Italian specialties, and another oriental food. There are also being a sandwich bar, a salad bar and a dessert station. Customers often wander among stations as they decide what to order. In several affluent locations, customers can stop in on their way home from work and choose from a selection of freshly prepared dinner entrees. Some stores have a coffee shop section with tables and chairs where shoppers can enjoy regular or specialty coffees and variety o f tempting pastries. The company prides itself on fresh produce. Produce is replenished as often as 12 times a day. The larger stores have produce sections that are four to five times the size of a produce section of an average supermarket. Wegmans offers locally grown produce a season. Wegmans uses a ’farm to market’ system whereby some local growers deliver their produce directly to individual stores, bypassing the main warehouse. That reduces the company’s inventory holding costs and gets the produce into the stores as quickly as possible. Growers may use specially designed containers that go right onto the store floor instead of large bins. This avoids the bruising that often occurs when fruits and vegetables are transferred from bins to display shelves and the need to devote labor to transfer the produce to shelves. In addition to large display cases of both fresh and frozen meat products, many stores have a full-service butcher shop that offers a variety of fresh meat products and where butchers are available to provide customized cuts of meat for customers. Each department handles its own ordering. Although sales records are available from records of items scanned at the checkouts, they are not used directly for replenishing stock. Other factors, such as pricing, special promotions, local circumstances must all be taken into account. However, for seasonal periods, such as holidays, managers often check scanner records to learn what past demand was during a comparable period. The superstores typically receive one truckload of goods per day from the main warehouse.During peak periods, a store may receive two truckloads from the main warehouse. The short lead-time greatly reduce the length of the time an item might be out of stock, unless the main warehouse is also out of stock. The company exercises strict control over suppliers, insisting on product quality and on-time deliveries. The company recognises the value of good employees. It typically invests an average of Rs.7000 to train each new employee. In addition to learning about stores operations, new employees learn the importance of good customer service and how to provide it. The employees are helpful, cheerfully answering customer questions or handling complaints. Employees are motivated through a combination of compensation, profit sharing, and benefits. Quality and Customer satisfaction are utmost in the minds of Wegmans management and its employees. Private label food items as well as name brands are regularly evaluated in test kitchens, along with the potential new products. Managers are responsible for checking and maintaining products and service quality in their departments. Moreover, employees are encouraged to report problems to their managers. If a customer is dissatisfied with an item and returns it, or even a portion of the item, the customer is offered a choice of a replacement or a refund. If the item is a Wegmans brand food item, it is then sent to the test kitchen to determine the cause of the problem. If the cause can be determined, corrective action is taken.
